Ampeli

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of the Ampeli website, operated by MTC SAFETY MANAGEMENT LTD. (registration number HE 159079). By using the site you accept them.

Last updated: 23 October 2026. This is a draft pending legal review.

Using the site

Ampeli is a free guide to the Cyprus wine routes. You may read it, share links to it and use it for your own planning. Please do not copy it in bulk, disrupt it or use it for anything unlawful.

Accuracy of information

We compile information about routes, regions, grapes and wineries from public sources with care, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete, correct or up to date. Opening hours, prices, availability and access can change; please check with each winery before you visit. Information about wine, grapes and vineyards is general guidance, not professional advice.

Accounts

You can create a free account with a valid email address and a username. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or the law. Ratings you publish must be honest, based on your own visit, and neither abusive nor unlawful; we may remove them. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Routes you share and a public profile you switch on can be seen by anyone who has the link; badges are awarded automatically from the wineries you mark as visited and carry no prize.

Opening hours shown as “open now”

The “Open now” and “Open today” labels are worked out from the opening hours published for each listing, in Cyprus time. They are a convenience, not a promise that the winery is open; please call ahead.

Winery listings

Winery listings are added at our discretion, from public sources or on request. A registration form is a request for a listing, not a contract: we may decline, edit or remove a listing at any time. By submitting a registration you confirm that you are entitled to represent the winery, that the information you give is accurate, and that you allow us to publish the name, location, contact details and description you provide on Ampeli.

Winery accounts and plans

Approved wineries can edit their listing and add photos from their account. They are responsible for what they publish and confirm that they have the right to publish the photos they add. A winery may claim an existing page with the “Claim this page” button; we hand a page over only after checking that the applicant represents the winery. The Basic plan is free; an event on Basic costs EUR 50 and is checked by us before it goes live. Pro (EUR 49 a month) and Premier (EUR 99 a month) are monthly subscriptions paid through Stripe; they renew every month until they are cancelled, and a cancelled plan runs to the end of the period already paid and then returns to Basic. Tickets and bookings sold through Ampeli are paid to the seller's own Stripe account, less a commission of 10% (7% on Pro, 5% on Premier). We may give Pro or Premier free of charge to a winery we choose; nothing is charged for it, and we tell the winery by email how long it lasts. We may change what a plan includes or what it costs by telling subscribers by email at least 30 days in advance.

Intellectual property

The text and design of Ampeli belong to MTC SAFETY MANAGEMENT LTD. Photographs are credited where they appear, remain the property of their authors and are used under the licences stated. If you send us text or images for a listing, you confirm that you have the right to do so and allow us to publish them on Ampeli.

External links

Ampeli links to winery websites, maps and other sites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ampeli is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or from relying on its information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
